Change of Broker Dealer

A change of broker/dealer may assign Jason Knox as the active representative on your existing direct account. 

There are no transaction costs for changing the broker/dealer.  The account's features, programs, and costs remain the same.  

For many brokerage accounts, Jason Knox may become your representative of record.  If there is an current active advisor or representative and you elect to change broker/dealer to our firm, we assume the current representative role, which replaces the prior advisor.   We do not engage in dual advisor / dual broker dealer arrangements.

If you elect to change broker/dealer on your existing account to our firm, any compensation offered by the investment company is paid to Lincoln Investment and a share of that revenue to Jason Knox going forward from the time the change is effective.  

Certain employer retirement plans may restrict individual participants from changing the advisor of record on their account.

We may elect to become the broker/dealer of record on certain direct mutual fund accounts, where Lincoln Investment has active agreements in place with the investment provider.

We do not seek to be the representative of record for most annuity products or certain mutual fund accounts.

For annuity products, if we are not actively appointed with the issuing company, we customarily elect to not serve as a subsequent representative.  Providing effective and timely service is problematic where we do not customarily conduct business with the issuing company.  Your advisor will help determine if we accept such changes of assigned representative for your account.   

For mutual fund accounts where we believe the account is not in your best interest, believe the account to be unsuitable, or where Lincoln Investment does not have an agreement, we elect not to be a subsequent representative on your existing direct account.
