The Four Delivery Methods for Disbursements

There are four delivery methods accessible for distributions from your Lincoln Investment accounts.

Delivery via Check

All checks are mailed to the address of record.  Choose from:

  • First class mail
  • Overnight delivery is available upon request and includes a $15 fee.

Changing your address of record will delay distributions from your account.

Delivery via Direct Deposit

All direct deposits are made to the bank account on file.

  • Automated Clearing House (ACH): proceeds are electronically transmitted to your bank for further credit to a designated account. Crediting to that account is wholly dependent on the procedures of the individual bank, but typically will be credited within 1-2 business days. You should check with the bank if there are concerns. Once credited the funds are immediately available. There is no charge for this service either by Lincoln Investment or a bank.
  • Adding ACH to an account takes 5-10 business days, we encourage adding banking instruction well in advance of desiring funds.
  • Funds deposited to your investment account either via Automated Clearing House (ACH) or check are not immediately available for withdrawal, as each require a 5 business day clearing period. Wires are encouraged for larger deposits, as the funds are immediately cleared and available for withdrawal.
  • Federal Funds Wire: proceeds are electronically deposited into your bank account through the Fed Funds System. Wires initiated prior to 2pm are typically credited to a bank account on the same business day, barring unforeseen delays in the Fed Funds System. Lincoln charges a $25 fee for this service.  Your bank may also charge the account for the incoming wire.

Investment accounts are part of a long-term strategy.  Redemptions from mutual funds settle at the end of market close and are not available for immediate wire or ACH payments until the end of the business day.

ACH payments to or from savings accounts are not recommended by Knox Financial Services.  We recommend linking a checking account for transfers in and out of your account.
