Karla is an experienced educator, earning her doctorate and master’s degree in Sport Management and her bachelor’s degree in German. Most recently, she was the Dean of the School of Business and Professional Studies and Associate Professor of Sports Administration at Upper Iowa University. She has learned key skills through her various roles, including communication, project management, organization, fiscal responsibility, and building relationships.
Karla’s goal is to help people become the best version of themselves. She accomplishes this through education, mentoring, and participating in community activities.
When not working, Karla enjoys spending time at the lake with family and friends, gardening, biking, walking, yoga, writing quote books, and cheering for her favorite sports teams.
