More About Tucker

Our History
Our Process

Tucker started each day with excitement.  His constantly wagging tail revealed his almost perpetual happiness.  He never passed up an opportunity to go for a ride, go outside for a walk, or to roll in the grass and even the snow.  Tucker also thoroughly enjoyed his meals and naps when he was not on the go.  He played ambitiously with his many toys for hours every day.  A new toy meant days of even more excitement!

Tucker loved to go exploring and meeting new people and other pets.  He had a definite gift for making new friends, both animal and human.  Tucker enjoyed being in photos - whenever a camera or phone appeared, he would "pose" for the camera, which these pages show.  He alerted his family to anything that came into our yard and would not rest soundly until all were home for the evening.  Sometimes he would "scold" us to get to bed if it got too late.  Each day, he found time to spend with each of us individually.  Tucker seemed to know the weekend from weekdays-Saturdays and Sundays were the best!  Tucker would indulge us by participating in our adventures, wearing special collars or his doggy sweatshirts, going for rides or walks, relaxing or playing games with us - he would do anything to spend time with his family.

Tucker had constant, unconditional love for his family and showed us that every chance he could.  Tucker seemed to enjoy every minute he was together with his family, wherever that might be or whatever we were doing.  If we were there, he was in bliss.  So were we - Tucker instantly brought smiles to our faces.  We dearly miss his many routines and his never-ending desire just to spend time with all of us.  He was a great friend, loyal companion, and beloved family member.

We talk about and remember Tucker, not because we are stuck or because we haven't moved on.

We talk about and remember Tucker because we are his, and he is ours, and no passage of time will ever change that.

Picture a wave, in the ocean.  You can see it, measure it, its height, the way the sunlight refracts when it passes through.

And it's there.  You can see it, you know what it is.  It's a wave.

And then it crashes in the shore and it's gone.  But the water is still there.  The wave was just a different way for the water to be, for a little while.

The wave returns to the ocean, where it came from, and where it's supposed to be.
