Knox Financial Services Supports Libraries

Jason’s deep appreciation for libraries was nurtured by his grandmother, Marjorie Knox, who devoted decades to serving as the librarian at the Wadena Public Library.  Libraries are truly magical spaces—offering wisdom, adventure, and endless opportunities for discovery.

Jason and Amber Knox are committed to supporting their community.  Through our library support program, clients can nominate their favorite library to receive a charitable contribution, helping to ensure these invaluable institutions continue to inspire and educate.

Nominate your library via the form below.  If selected, Knox Financial Services will donate $250 to your library.   An easy way to help your favorite library.

Supporting Libraries: More Than Just Monetary Contributions

Financial donations are valuable, but volunteering may make an even greater impact. Many libraries have numerous tasks to complete but never enough hands to tackle them all.

Whether it’s handyman work, computer assistance, organizing, cleaning, setting up tables and chairs, making calls, mailing envelopes, or any other skill, your contribution can be incredibly helpful. Reach out to the library to see how your talents can best support their efforts.

Amber and I have helped in countless ways—carrying tables and chairs, selling tickets, cleaning buildings, painting, handling carpentry projects, securing vendors, providing transportation, preparing meals, moving supplies, and even visiting landfills. We know firsthand that supporting a library doesn’t have to mean writing a check; there are so many ways to make a difference.

Simply getting involved strengthens the library and its mission.

If you are involved in a charitable organization that needs volunteer help, please contact us to see if we may help.  Our team is committed to making a better community.

We contribute to a selected library on a monthly basis.  A nomination does not guarantee that Knox Financial Services will make any contribution.  Knox Financial Services offers this matching program at our sole discretion, and may modify or discontinue the program in the future.  The selected organization must be a library that is open to the public, be presently active, provide services in the greater Midwest, and be nominated by an existing client.  An existing client is defined for the purpose of this program as one to whom we provide ongoing financial planning or investment management services (fee-based) and have a current agreement in effect.  Determination of this status is at our sole discretion.  Knox Financial Services reserves the right to accept or deny nominations of the nominated library, in our sole discretion.  We may deny our contribution to the proposed library where: there is a potential conflict of interest; we have donated to the proposed library in the past; or our directors believe the organization does not fit our mission for charitable giving, or at our sole discretion.  If the proposed library does not fit our criterion, we will notify the client, and that client may elect another library for consideration.  If we have recently donated to the library, the client may elect to postpone the contribution to the future.  Nominations are considered in the order received.  Exception may be allowed based on timely considerations such as a time sensitive annual fund drive, end of fiscal year for the library or ourselves, other matching contributions that compel timelines, or other factors.  We wish to honor all selected libraries that meet our criterion, but have committed to an ongoing schedule to preserve our ability to sustain such contributions and matches.  Nominations will be considered by our Directors, and we will notify the submitter of our selections, declinations, if and if selected, the next month available for contributions.
